Back Home after Fantastic Trip

(I'm in the process of uploading some of the 1,724 pictures I took.  This first bunch is for the penguin visit.)

I'm finally awake enough to make a quick post.  We left Punta Arenas on Monday November 29th at 9am Denver time and arrived home in Denver at 9:45am on Tuesday November 30th which made for a very long day.
The trip was everything I could have hoped for: beautiful scenery, good adventures and excellent food. All airline connections were made with plenty of time and all our bags followed wherever we went.

It was a wonderful, fantastic, tremendous, terrific, superb, marvelous, first-class, first-rate, outstanding, exceptional, superb, superior and very good trip.

Saturday November 19, 2011 Hotel Orly

Sherrie drove us to DIA yesterday, we checked in at the curb, found our gate & departed on time. Uneventful (uneventful is a very good thing) flight to Dallas.  Flight to Santiago was long (9.5 hour) but good dinner of pot roast in mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes & veggies.  Got about 4 hours of sleep on the plane.  View of the Andes from the plane. (not my photo, but good one).  Met at airport by Miriam and Pablo from the travel people who brought us to the hotel.   Hotel is comfortable and cosy. Wandered a couple of blocks to sculpture park.

Took naps.  Found internet computers on 2nd floor. Wrote this.  See you later.
